CEC ArtsLink, in the spirit of looking forward to in-person exchanges and travel again, announces two opportunities for US artists and curators to participate in international residencies with a focus on social and community engagement.
1. The Art Prospect Network ResidenciesA new transnational exchange opportunity for US artists and curators, focusing on exchange and collaboration in the field of socially engaged art and/or public art. CEC ArtsLink will place US artists and curators with host organizations in the Art Prospect Network countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Each
Art Prospect Network partner will host an artist or curator for a one month residency to participate in a collaborative project, such as a public art festival or event, lead training programs, and/or conduct an independent project. US participants and host organizations will work together to define the residency goals and structure based on their reciprocal interests, needs, and strengths.

The ArtsLink Back Apartment ResidencyThis program provides opportunities for US artists and curators to conduct research, create new work, collaborate with the local arts community, and create special projects in St. Petersburg, Russia. Each residency is individually designed to enable visiting artists and curators to learn about the Russian arts community, develop their own work, and share information about their work and cultural practice with local audiences. The duration of the Back Apartment Residency in St. Petersburg is 4 weeks for artists and 2 weeks for curators.
Residencies take place between July 1, 2021 and February 28, 2022
