The art residence by Studio 4413 expands the meaning of the term "art residence", removing the imperative mood. The residents don't have to present any products or projects (exhibitions, artist talks, etc.) but they need to focus on interacting with the local artistic community.

Studio 4413 is an alternative discourse and interspecific relations laboratory created to reconnect artistic and activist communities. It programs an open space of mutation practices and utopic theories without any uniform code or dominating form. The goal is developing a new language and strategies of interdisciplinary formations relevant to the current political landscape; and extrapolating the contemporary critical thinking to everyday practice, disrupting the conventional way of thinking. The studio offers cooperation in hybrid forms.

It comprises several functions: a public place for organizing fusion events, art/activism/residence, private accommodation, and workshops.

One of the projects of the studio is the residence. The hybrid interaction and mutation practice matrix, Studio 4413 presents a parallel space for engagement and agency. It invites activists, artists, musicians, researchers, critics, practicians and theorists, programmers, sociologists, and anthropologists—to arrange for interaction and interspersion of media, practices, strategies, interfaces, desires, and affections. Any formats are allowed, unless they contain trans/homo/lesbian/queer phobias, nationalism or fascism, and/or discrimination.
